I don't know if they ever made it to production, but there were lithium batteries in the same form factor as automotive/marine lead-acid batteries, meant to be installed and used as starting or deep-cycle batteries.
Presumably the units contained the proper charging circuitry to allow them to be charged from the vehicle's alternator.
Question: If you can't get a cell signal from inside the travel trailer, what makes you think you can get one from the truck cab?
Comment: I hope you are both short, or your truck is a megacab dodge, because working in the back seat of a typical crew cab truck will be frustrating to say the least.
