- TubaPeteExplorerIn a discussion with a dealer I was told that if the trailer did not come with a ladder, it was likely the needed reinforcements weren't behind the skin of the trailer. Without the reinforcements there was a danger the ladder would not stay.
- Aluminum_SidingExplorerwe have a passport. Same company. No ladder. I do go up on the roof after each trip to pressure wash the roof. I only weight 200 lbs and thus far no issues. I cant walk on the front cap however. I keep an aluminum extension ladder in the tt from Home Depot. It's a pain but I don't want to drill into the TT. I just slide it under the TT once we arrive. I actually think the TT looks better without the ladder. You can add one for pretty cheep $300 or so. Cheaper if you do it yourself. I only use a ladder to get up to wash the roof and the top of the awning and also to check the slide and sweep it for debris before pulling in the slide.
- Earl_EExplorerI don't have an Outback, nor do I know anything about them, so take this for what it is worth: when I bought another trailer way back when, I was told if it didn't have a ladder, the roof was meant to be walked on. Just check it out...
