Advice on 2012 Jayco JayFlight Swift 264BH

Would like input/personal experiences with the Jayco JayFlight Swift 264BH.

We've found one for a very reasonable price that seems to be ideal for our needs (2 grandchildren, light enough to pull easily with the trucks we have).

Thanks for your help!
  • We owned a 2014 Swift 264BH and the only problem we had was the water pump not being able to prime once the water level in the fresh water tank dropped below the 1/3 full level. Don't know if it was the pump or if the senors were messed up. Other than that it was a great unit. We ended up going a bit larger (Starcraft 329BHU) with slides because we usually have kids & grand kids with us on trips.
    Happy camping everyone!
  • The Jayco Swift trailers have a fairly low ceiling height so make sure you're going to be happy with that.
  • My husband has a Toyota Tundra 4WD with a heavy duty towing package. It's rated for 10,000 lbs., so we should be just fine. My Tundra isn't 4WD, and is rated for 7000lbs.
  • I have a 2013 Jayco Flight 26BH which is very similar to the Swift 264BH and love our TT. We bought our TT new and I have never returned to the dealer for an issue but have fixed some small issues myself with the help of this forum and jaycoowners.com. The only inconvenience we have with the TT is the limited space between the dinette and the kitchen area. The rear bunks also tend to get warm but insulating the cargo space below them helps.

What do you plan to tow it with?
  • Only had limited experience with a Jayco trailer. Seemed to be very well made and the layout was good. Owner had no problems with it. Main culprit to any trailer is water leaks, look over the roof very well. Check all appliances make sure they work.
