Advice on driving Oregon's coast road?

It is a very wide two lane road with lots of passing lanes. Absolutely no problem. Don't know where any challenge will be as long as you take your time and let others by when need be. Hopefully you can camp in several spots along the way so you can use your truck to poke around and see the little spots, explore, etc. Others are right that N to S is more scenic because you can pull off the road on the ocean side of the highway. However, most of the pull offs won't have a place for you to park with the trailer in tow.
