Lewis and Clark Golf and RV Resort is the nicest CG in Astoria. Take the kids out on the golf course and have fun, it's a basic course and very uncrowded. I had fun and I'm not a golfer...
Ft Stevens would be my second choice or maybe first as it has a lot to offer. I really liked the kayak tour on Coffenbury Lake in the park.
In Astoria DO NOT MISS the Maritime Museum (about $7). Both kids and adults will enjoy this museum. And then DO NOT MISS the Waterfront Trolly ($2) which you pick up right in the parking lot and it's fun and enjoyable. And finally DO NOT MISS the Rogue Brewery and Salmon Canning Museum (free) which is located on the east end of the trolly run and out on a pier. The Column is another popular attraction.
Want to know what the Columbia River can do and why about 300 ships didn't survive it's bar? Visit the museum. And the cannon found on Cannon Beach started it's underwater journey in Astoria. :@
