I did gravel and recently bought a carport to park under. Unless you are parking in a sunken area, the RV itself will prevent a lot of water from pooling underneath it. If you have a 4wd truck, you can pull it out even if the ground is soggy.
My suggestion is some landscape fabric and a couple yards of gravel. Its a couple hundred dollars. Considering the cost of storing offsite, its cheap. Having gravel allows you (or future homeowner) to remove it later if need be.
