I think the least amount of dirt and vegetation around the trailer the better.
Not just for driving on and preventing sinking, but for helping prevent bugs and rodents. Where I used to have my trailer, it was on dirt with weeds all around. Had small issues with bugs and mice. A buddy had an issue with squirrels. They destroyed his trailer.
Now that it's parked on asphalt, I have zero evidence of bugs and rodents. It's made a huge difference even though weeds and trees are within 20 feet. Not being directly on the weeds has made all the difference
