It is not just the length in Europe. Depending on where you go, height can be a problem and a TC especially with A/C and on a 1 ton dually, is very tall, sometimes close to 13'.

Height per Ford bed to ground is 35.9. Bigfoot's 2500 series 25C9.4LB is 99 from bed to top of refer vent. I plan no AC, so this total is 135 or 11'3" + 6" safety cushion is 11'9".
Good point because I put solar panels and multiple antennas on the roof. Antennas can be mounted lower and the panels aren't that night.
The outside dimension of the trucks rear wheel flails is 96 inches or 2.44 meters. This appears to be the biggest issue, plus at just under 22' feet long all in, the turning radius is pretty poor.
I guess it's like in the US. If you buy a 40' rig, then forget about getting into the quaint little CCC campgrounds that are the ones you want to be in for the "charm" factor. I'm begging to feel like I'll miss out on too much of rural Europe with a rig the size I'm contemplating. My trip plan is much more rural. I'd always park in a CG and take the train into cities anyway, so I never planned on city parking. But, the country side is narrow.
Lots to consider. May have to keep looking at buying and reselling over there.
