I did travel Europe with tent, but that was "few" years ago.
Bottle of Greek Metaxa brandy was $1 at the time, so was dinner plate at "street" restaurants.
I think Greece is still one of the most tourist-friendly country and can't beat 4-5000 years old structures in almost each village.
Lately Bosnia seems to be popular tourist destination for campers.
I assume you have list of your favorites set already and when 4WD truck camper might be advantage in some of those location, you will suffer with its size entering any European city.
