I have to agree with joerg68. We spent a couple of weeks a few years ago in a vw camper van and ran about 1500 miles. Obviously this is not right for you but I would never take a dually. On the major roads you would have no problems and we actually slept at a number of "rest stops". The problem is once you get off the main roads. All is good until you get into a village. The roads narrow considerably, and then you want to get off the main drag and see a castle or a bfc(large church)a lot of both. The next thing you know you are jammed up and have to back up. I am not trying to discourage you but I would rethink your choose of vehicles. We loved it and want to do it again but there were times I thought a vw van was too big. If I was going to spend a year I would consider one of the smaller class b/c rigs
