No one ever used Azdel by itself, in their roofs afaik.
Azdel is much stronger than plywood - I don't have my figures handy, but suffice to say that it bears the weight of the lumber used in sidewalls, better than that lumber. Azdel is much stronger than plywood.
I stand by my statement that there are NO drawbacks with Azdel. Only benefits
