A&E Awning Fabric Measurement

I need to replace the fabric on my A&E Dometic awning however I am a little confused on the size. The replacement fabric is in 1ft intervals and they say to measure from the center of the awning support to the center of the awning support. My trailer awning is 20.5ft between these two points

You need to find the tag on the awning material not the tube. The tag may be found on the corner next to where it mounts to the roof.

It's the same info. Here's the label on my own Dometic awning roller tube ...

Here's the label on the fabric itself ...

    Exactly the same. ;)

The model on my awning tube is 834AX44.2461 which would break down to 44ft long

Obviously that's not the case - show us a pic. ;)

  • Are you using a solid fabric or a print?
A solid has straight up measurements but a print could need more.

I'd disagree with newman fulltimer and suggest yours is 21', which you can confirm by simply looking at the sticker on the roller tube where you'll see the length indicated by 2 digits as part of the model number. For example - 845GP21.401B - where 845 is the series, GP is the colour code, 21 is the length, and 401B is the hardware designation. As detailed here.
  • On A&E awnings, there should be a tag on the awning itself with the model number. Once you have the tag number, you can contact an A&E retailer such as Camping World and they will be able to sell you the exact replacement for your awning.

  • I have had great luck with Tough Tops

I have replaced two awnings and used the heavy ones. Good prices and great instructions). If I had to replace one tomorrow this is the only place I would use.
