The gauges are dampened/controlled by the computer.
I can run in 115 heat, near full throttle in 2nd gear, A/C blasting and the engine temperature barely moves and well within the normal zone. Truck is 15 years old with new Prestone every 5 years.
I have no idea if I am at 190 or 250 actually. Still normal so no real concern.
