yup... hardly stopped at the bumper, they usually ended up in the ditch or under my truck...you haven't seen my 2005 have you?
Your absolutely right, most deer are running flat out and your truck is tall enough to go over the top... unless it is that rare case where the SOG is leaping. Then it isn't much different than hitting a horse or moose.
My wife used to own a Corvette. Most of the time we could drive right underneath the deer. Except for possible knee dents and really short young deer. But then fiberglass doesn't dent anyway.
Just kidding. Glad we never hit one.
