One other thing I just dealt with in preparation for my first outing... the new Ram is quite a bit taller than my previous Chevy 2500. I'm kicking myself for not measuring the receiver height before I let my last truck go but I know the Ram is at least a couple inches taller. I measured things out tonight and moved my WDH down to the lowest holes and it looks like things should line up okay. If I get an inch of squat in the rear of the Ram my trailer should be perfectly level. If it's still too high I'll need to get a longer drop down or maybe a whole new hitch altogether?? I didn't actually attach the new truck to the trailer because there is a bunch of stuff in the way that I didn't want to move but I will be hooking it up soon.
Anyway, I just mention it to save you the surprise if/when you hitch up to go.
