air costs

does anyone know the cost of running the air per hr or know an easy way to fig it out. reason I ask, have full hook up at home and have been staying out in it a lot. DW has no problems with me running fans(3-ceiling(fantastic) 1 20' box and a 22' pedestal fan) they do help some but the air (13K) would be a lot nicer and I think it would be either cheaper or close to the same cost.
thanks

  • Someone will probably do the whole calculation carried out to sixteen decimal places for you.

There are lots of variables, like the cost of electricity and, of course, the outside temperature.

But, assuming the unit runs no more than maybe 30 minutes out of every hour, a ball park number is probably no more that 10 cents an hour during the day. Hopefully during the night things will cool off some and the unit will run less.
