Connected is not the same as properly adjusted. A WDH returns lost weight to the front axle. Rear suspension aids including air bags do not. Spend $15 at a CAT scale first. Take 3 passes with 3 pads.
Truck front axle, Truck rear axle, trailer axles
Truck only, Truck with trailer without WD bars, truck with trailer with WD bars.
My previous tow vehicle was 0-500 pounds over GVWR for every RVing trip. The rear end never sagged with my WDH fully restoring front axle weight. The combination was comfortable and stable, albeit a little slow at times. It seems unlikely you should need any rear suspension aid.
I used to adjust my hitches to "fully restore front axle weight" and agree that the vehicle drives well that way but the manual says not to do that on my 2016 F150. It says to only restore 1/4 of the weight. The only thing that I can figure is that since the factory hitch is actually a glorified bumper hitch they just want you to take some of the stress off of the bolts holding the bumper on. If I could find a hitch with stringers attached to the frame that doesn't drop way down below the bumper I would upgrade and go back to putting more weight on the front.
