Airbags are a great tool when towing heavy, nothing to do with bandaids, you don't have to be overloaded to push the truck down with a fifth wheel, you see many within their weight ratings that squat some in the rear, its nice to bring them back up if wanted, and they do smooth the ride out.
Pulling a lightweight trailer such as yours with the modern day truck shouldn't cause any squat at all. Got nothing to do with the right truck ,just a light trailer. They ALL can handle the lightweight's with no squat in the rear.
Guess i never thought of a GVWR of 12,360# as a light weight.
I do only tow at a bit over 11,000#, but still have about 2,200# of pin.
Bags and timbirn's are one thing, even the bigger pads to engage the upper over loads early, but the device on the bottom will point load the springs, not a good thing.
