Airstream Clearcoat

Question

Has anyone here removed  clear coating off of an Airstream or know anyone in the N.E. Ohio area that has the experience? Bought a 25 foot Airstream this weekend for a price I could not refuse, but the clear coating is damaged and peeling. I will try to do it myself, but would like to talk to someone who has gone through the process. Thanks in advance.

Talk to the guys over on airforums.comThose guys have done everything in the world that it's possible to do to an Airstream.   Huge brain trust on that forum.

Also Jackson Center, OH is where they are made.  Call them.

I once removed some clear coat from some aluminum rims and polished them. I used some aircraft aluminum clear coat stripper purchased at an automotive paint store.
