I notice there aren't many topics out there about Airstreams compared to other travel trailers. I assume becuae they are priced pretty high.
Looking (thinking about it) to buy a 10-15 year old Airstream (any one know of one ? :) ), but I'm not sure if it is worth the price even at used. Opinions?
Are there other tt's that last as long? Thanks in advance.
Here's a picture of a "Pre-owned" Airstream with a slide:

They do pull through the air slightly easier and are often pulled by lighter tow vehicles than other TT's. Air is 80% of the battle on level highways, weight not so much. The Airstream shape resists frontal wind as well as wind from the sides. The curved top-edge sides actually help forward movement too, according to a van trucking efficiency study I once read. Most TT's have flat sides although they may be curved at the front and back. The downside to curves is interior cabinet space is restricted by the non-square backwall.
