I notice there aren't many topics out there about Airstreams compared to other travel trailers. I assume becuae they are priced pretty high. Looking (thinking about it) to buy a 10-15 year old Airstream (any one know of one ? :) ), but I'm not sure if it is worth the price even at used. Opinions?Are there other tt's that last as long? Thanks in advance.

The nice thing about Airstreams is that there are places that can take a servicable shell of an Airstream, and totally remodel the interior for about $11-12k. That way, one pretty much has all the niceties of a 2014 model travel trailer, but with the vintage look of the older Airstreams.

In my opinion, at least half the value of an Airstream is, well, "air". Plainly put, prices stay high because they're considered a sort of status symbol, if such a thing can be said about trailers. And they can be just as problematic as many other trailers, leak-and-repairs-wise. Nothing wrong with buying one and paying for the "cool" factor, but if there are budgetary considerations you might consider whether that's the best way to spend that money.
