Really sounds like you don't know what you want... Airstreams are beautiful but have so little storage for clothing etc. How long do you go camping for, how much clothing do you need, and food etc.?
We started out with a 22'Jayco FB, then 6 months later moved up to a Jayco 24FBS because we wanted the slideout as it gives you so much more room. Well 4 years later we just traded that in for a Jayco 266RKS - yes we have 2footitis. We love this new trailer and find that it has so much storage for clothing and everything. I love the big slideout with the comfortable couch, the bigger refrigerator, pantry and the linen closet in the bathroom, the corner shower, the big vanity and basin and the bed is so much more comfortable too.
If you ever have the opportunity to go to the big RV shows like the one in Tampa, FL in February you will see so many trailers with different floorplans. Maybe that will help you decide and your good wife too!
