There is a big difference between showing off your tour bus to the Hollywood elite and pulling a big rig into and RV park.
Many of the people who I meet at the RV parks are just normal folks, regardless of the size of their rig. Sure we all can appreciate a fine cars, big homes, fine craftsmanship, and luxury RVs but most of us really do not have a need for such things. We purchase a TT that fits our needs.
I was parked out west next to a Motor Coach that dwarfed my TT; the guy and his wife were fellow Hoosiers that had gone almost full time and had just returned from several months in Alaska. If I were going full time on extended expeditions I suppose I would have such a rig also.
Being proud of what you have accomplished is a good thing but status only counts if you are among people care about such things. I have a friend who is a wine connoisseur; I told him that we did not mind at he was a wine snob, as long as he did not mind that the rest of us would ignore him and drink what we like. :W He got a chuckle out of that.
Of all of the ways to make your mark on the world, pulling a high dollar RV into a campground to wow and bedazzle your fellow campers, is pretty far down the list. :B
