I had posted earlier this morning about a post titled "Farewell Whazoo" that was deleted by the Moderator while I was replying to this particular topic. It is a very sad day indeed when a person cannot reply to someone's post just to have that post removed within a matter of minutes for simply remembering and honoring the man who brought so much joy to everyone with his humorous dialogue and wonderful mastery of photography. What right does the Moderator have in deleting a post by someone else for the reason to remove any mention of "Whazoo" from the Forum? I find this to be a shameful act on the part of the Moderator.
I also think that bka0721 has the most accurate assessment, opinion and statement regarding Whazoo's reason for leaving and like the rest of us will surely miss his trip reports.
So long Whazoo and I sincerely wish you the best of luck and safe travels.
My post titled "Farewell Whazoo" included facts shared with me by Whazoo. One of our moderators PM'd me criticizing the post as biased, slanted, untruthful and one sided. I invited him to share his side on the story and let the tribute go on. But instead he deleted my entire post.
Why do the mods here have this kind of unchecked power? I don't see any value in a forum so heavily censored. Time to move on...
