The point is that the moderator is enforcing rules that the forum owner lays down. If you want the rules to change, contact the moderator or start a thread with the reasons you feel there should be a change. The owners may get insight into an outdated rule or the thread poster may get insight into why the rule exists and should stay. Thinking that the rule should not apply to you while visiting a forum is a guaranty of rough waters ahead...
One constant irritation issue on these forums for at least the last few years is the posting of pictures, both for the moderators and for those posting. It has been mentioned over and over and I suspect the moderators are just as anxious to get it changed as any poster.
