A good big rig trailer repair shop will know how to handle any situation they find and advise you on repairs or replace.
I have a trailer with tandem 6k axles with 5/8" difference between tires/wheels. The trailer has probably over 150k miles and I generally run the LT tires on this particular heavy loaded trailer for 40k-45k miles.
The front axle/wheels were aligned and were in tolerance but out the max. The trailing axle was bent and the spring hangers were both off. All thats required on a trailer is the last axle wheels/tires follows the front axle. The shop bent each end to follow the front axles wheels.
This particular shop runs a radial/lateral check on each tire and wheel before they start their alignment procedure. Steel stamped trailer wheels are notorious for being out of spec both directions.
These type shops also do our annual trailer inspection required for all commercially registered trailers. These guys are very sharp on trailers of all sizes.
