Try packing cubes for clothing. You can fit a lot in them and they keep things neat and confined. It makes it easy to be able to move a packet of clothes around. Get two medium/large cubes, fill with your clothes, then set on either end of the couch to use as pillows during the day. At night when you make your bed, toss them on the dinette.
