My 2004 fridge vents are identical top & bottom, so they can be interchanged. The point of the vents is to allow airflow from bottom to top to expel the heat generated by the refrigeration system.

I added screen to the inside of my vents to keep the critters from building nests and webs inside. The screen reduces airflow so when it is really hot outside I remove the vents while camping to increase efficiency. Many people have added electric fans to increase airflow.

Tip for next time, take a photo of it all before & as you take things apart.

My son did this for me when he took of the inverter, so I could replace the new one once it came in. The photo help greatly in hooking the wires all back to the correct places.

Inverter went out (motherboard came loose & broke some things) in Minot, ND area. We would be back in New Mexico by the time the replacement got there.

I dough I would have gotten it back on with his photo taken by his cell phone.

Don't have an Aliner, but have used rented ones twice in Alaska. Nice little campers.

since heat rises I would guess the vented goes on top .
