They argument is always that it won't work for my situation, so they will never work, which is simply a false argument. Use our family for example. Not counting kid's car, we have a van for long distance travel/towing duties and I have a small commuter car to get me back and forth to work. I've had my commuter car for 4 years and in that time period, it hasn't been more than 250 miles from home. The vast majority of its time is in-town. An electric would work fine for this vehicle. When it comes time to replace, I will probably look at them although it probably won't happen since I don't spend a ton on cars because, well, they are just cars to me so there probably won't be any in my price range. The point is, too many people that seem "opposed" to electric seem to take an all or nothing approach and I don't think it will be that way for many years to come.
