All electric vehicles?
I guess electrically powered vehicles are coming but seems to me they are presently only a rich person's toy with present technology. By that I mean, they're only good for around town and short trips ...

"Real travel" is a very vague term. The goal has been 300 miles, but I don't see anyone getting there in the next 5 years unless the vehicles are a smaller and lighter.
Battery research is still going on, but I would be shocked (pun intended !) it there is a breakthrough that would get to market in less than 10 years.
So excluding the electric vehicles that already have that range????
