Hi,
Level one (120 volt) charging returns about 3 to 4 miles of range per hour. Since my car does less than 30 miles per day, level one would more than meet my needs.
The BEV I hope to own has a range of 301 miles--enough to comfortably get me to the nearest city (180 miles) where I would have access to level 2 charging.

It's a different technology and requires a different approach to using your vehicle. If ALL of your trips are relatively short, AND you can plug in (requires 220V for all electric vehicle) easily, then it can work. Plug in Hybrids are a great mix, of ICE and BEV, but same issue, they are not cheap. Wife had a plug in hybrid lease car and loved it. But, when the lease was up, we did not replace the vehicle.
