That’s actually an important point to remember and I imagine the utilities focus on getting users to utilize these times more.
Workplace charging is becoming a big thing now especially in middle to large size companies with large parking facilities. Even 120 volt charging makes sense in these applications. We are seeing it more and more down south where EV density is growing fast. Utility companies are getting involved in this in a big way because the alternative for them...they won’t and they will miss the boat. Very little grid infrastructure required as the power comes from solar panel covered parking. Google images on this and it is quite amazing. It doesn’t take much solar to provide a commuters power needs for an EV. This is gaining popularity even in colder snowy climates like Holland and Norway.
