You can remotely preheat the EV if it is plugged in. Even inside your garage (no fumes).
EVs can keep the interior cabin very warm. Can lose half of the range in extreme conditions but they run just fine to get you to the grocery.
Just a small addition, you can remote preheat the EV wether is is plugged in our not. If it is plugged in it gets its power for the preheat from the wall. If it is not it gets it from the battery. Our car (or at least the not in the garage) only gets plugged in twice a weak so most days the preheat comes from the battery. Works equally well either way.
