take wind energy...most of those windmills have a large basis in crude
Electrical wire insulation, fiberglass, motor insulation, gearbox lube, brake fluid, and much more. Plus more for maintenance...like the 350KW gear box...it takes 100 gallons, the has a 2 year change requirement.
Ditto most any other energy source for our electric grid
If it has plastic (carbon fiber, fiber glass), insulation and a big ETC...it has crude in there
then the manufacturing of those materials and during their assembly...there are tons of crude based materials involved.
"Zero Emission" is a misnomer...it should say "Zero emission from the vehicle" and even that is not totally true...there are emissions from an EV, just not as much as an ICE
