Hi,
No because there is an electric truck with a range of 500 miles.

So, if I want to go from Billings to Great Falls when it is 20 below, snowing, with a 15 MPH head wind, with lights on, I will likely have to stop in Stanford, 65 miles short of my destination, to charge the car for an hour or so, assuming there is a place to charge, at reasonable cost, in Stanford, MT?
Oh, good! So, if I need to make a trip to Great Falls when it is snowing and 20 below zero, with a 15 MPH headwind and a 1000 lb. load, and the ambient conditions reduce the range by 50% more or less, I MIGHT make it to Great Falls and find a charging station before the batteries are so low it won't move.
Sorry, no thanks.
I wonder why nobody has tried to convince me that I actually CAN afford to buy one of these things, and I will get it paid for before I die!
By the way, how much of the battery, frame, and body is recyclable with the recycling technology of today? In the event of a severe crash, how much toxic waste is spilled on the ground? How difficult is it to clean up? What happens when that high amperage battery bank is shorted out in a crash?
