I run Goodyear Duratracs on both my trucks. Neither has any issues in the Sierras in the snow, the rain, hot summers (death valley). I pull an 18k TH on my truck, and the 2500 deals with slimey boat ramps all summer.
There is no perfect tire - or there would be only one tire made. The better you do in winter, the worse you do in summer, and better you do in summer, the worse you do in winter. I prefer to sacrifice a little summer tread life to get better winter traction. There are batter snow tires - blizzaks come to mind, but I don't know what condition they will be the second winter if you run them year round.
