I have been a Michelin man since I was a teenager. From the first set I bought until now the Michelin brand has far exceeded any other brand I have ever tried - hands down the best tire I have ever owned.
But!! Like GoPackGo said, alignment, balancing, rotation are critical key factors in tire life, regardless of brand.
I have tried other well known brands over the years, but they have all fallen short of Michelin performance and longevity.
Yeah they cost more but there is a reason. You get what you pay for.
I have never even once in all the years I've been driving, had a premature Michelin failure due to tire defects, not one. And in my younger years I have driven many of them until the steel carcass is showing through and they still keep going!
