Bob,
I wish I knew your secret. About 55K is the most I've ever gotten out of a set of tires, Michelin included.
Well, not sure what my secret is.....
My truck is always loaded with my 2000 pound rack and toolboxes. 6 tires, and I am diligent about rotating them regularly, although sometimes I get busy and go past the rotation interval.
I run them at the higher end of the recommended pressure range.
And I don't treat it like a race car. I slow down for corners, especially at intersections. I see a lot of people crank it fast and hard on corners. This substantially reduces a tires life.
I keep my front end in alignment, get it checked about every 18 months or so.
80K miles out of a loaded work truck impresses me, I have to say.
Thats all I do and thats the mileage I get.
I would suggest though that different models of Michelin will get different results. They don't make them all the same. I choose a tire that is good in the rain, as I live in a tropical rainforest area.
Not sure what else I can offer.
