Congrats. 80k is an accomplishment.
I have a 4x4 dually 7.3 diesel. I've run Michelins on it for years, they are by far the best riding tire I've ever owned. I've also had to replace 4 of them due to weather checking/cracking. I don't use tire goo, and I now keep them covered...but, when I was running heavy, the rears would still show signs of checking after a year or two.
Strangely, the inside duals fail just like the outer tires, which is odd because they see almost no sun. I suspect running at max air/max load is a contributing factor, but I have no proof of that.
As long as Michelin will pro-rate them I will keep running them, but based on my experience if when I have to buy tires at full price, I will probably try BFG.
