Alternative to Capri Campers

....as suggested above, I've seen Spacecap Diablo 8 models outfitted with beds, porta-potti, numerous windows (and, skylights), electric, and seats with dinette selling used in the $9000 ~ $10,000 range, in near mint condition...

The only question is east~west bed size: iffy.

The least expensive brand new (on edit: hard-side) truck camper on the market currently is Travel Lite (ie. the 700W {2015 models} are selling in the $10,800 range USD)

Barring the above, a used Travel Lite?

Some of the Northstar and Adventurer campers are pretty basic...and well designed/built.

Thanks to all. It looks like Capri looked at what the competition is charging and raised their prices accordingly. The Panther is a little more camper than I am looking for. The Tufport looks interesting but I would need some prices. The Tailfeather system looks like a lot of fun but I don't think it would work in a pickup as the bed sides are more than fifteen inches tall on a pickup.

Not sure if this would interest you, but have a look at the Teal Tailfeather modular camper. It can be put on either a pickup or a utility trailer, and is wide enough for sleeping crossways.
