No, everything is factory. I'm 99.9% sure that the hard start is the KN regulator part, EVERYTHING I've heard and read about the Generac points to that. I'm also 99.9% certain that other than the hard starting, the generator motor runs fine! It's something electrical that is causing it to trip the breaker and or shut the generator down. I'm "assuming" there is some kind of safety built in to the Generator that it will shut off if it gets some kind of electronic "feedback" that there is a short or overload or something? I just don't know what the "something" is?
