When you get the service manual downloaded, use the flowchart on Page 7.2-5, PROBLEM 5 - ENGINE STARTS THEN SHUTS DOWN AFTER A FEW SECONDS to guide you to the tests that need to be made. Disconnecting the inverter output from the camper is actually jumping ahead several steps in the flowchart, but it's a quick way to isolate the problem between the generator and the camper. If the generator still shuts down, go back to the top of the page and start with "Test-30, 9-Wire Signal".
Here's one of those model differences I mentioned. The "-1" models use a 9-wire cable between the generator and inverter, the "-2, -3, and -4's" use a 12-pin cable. The shutdown info I quoted earlier was from the -2 manual.
