Congratulations on a nice new TV, No the Cummins with not be first off the line, but will move one Heck of a load.
You might want to look at the Tire capacity on the side wall, and scale the empty weight of your rear axle and drop the rear tires closer to 50 to 45psi, I only air to 65, when towing with a 2,200# pin weight.

Glad you looked at and checked your tire pressures as they do in fact make a tremendous difference. And with the weight your currently towing you'd probably be fine leaving them at or around the 65psi mark year around. As another member above stated, I only inflate to 70-72 psi during towing season with + - 2000 lbs pin and hitch weight.
Your gonna love that Cummins more and more everyday!
Congrats!

Appreciate all the kind words from everybody!
This is my first diesel, and my first truck larger than a 1/2-ton. Been checking things out and lingering in various Cummins/diesel forums and this RV.NET TV forum for the last year compiling all the info I could get my hands on in order to make the most educated purchase possible. So far so good.
Appreciate all the info on tire pressure. I noticed even at 60 PSI the outside edge of the rear tires still aren't touching the pavement much. Suppose it makes sense I can drop it down another 10 PSI to 50 PSI empty without any issues. Glad I've got a 4hp 220v air compressor so I can experiment without too much hassle--lol!
