Since you're going to be pulling, why didn't you go with the longbed?
As for using the garage, I could put my 231" long Tundra in our garage with about 2" to spare. Unfortunately, the Ram 2500/3500 CC SB is about 238" long.
It's the same same reason I bought a short bed extended cab in 2005. My driveway was 20' long and HOA rules required it fit on the driveway or in the garage. This time around my driveway is longer, I have a different HOA and now I have 9' flat bed crew cab.
