Another Atwood Helium Refrigerator Question

For you guys with this frig is this the way the handles are supposed to look? I am talking about the little white latches or locks. I'm really not sure what they do. Has something fallen off or does that look right? They just seem kinda cheap the way they are now.

    They push out to keep the fridge doors from closing shut while not in use (storage).
