- Mike_UpExplorerMy Ford dealer bought a dodge crossover in trade. He pointed out that its a 2010 and the whole front end is bad with only 40k miles. They had it on the lift replacing everything.
- CaptJeff1731ExplorerI wonder if they are going to reimburse the cost of the repairs that some of have done to correct this issue

Well I do own a 2015 but it's already in the shop with some sort of tie rod recall.
Nothing like being first in line! :B - gmcsmokeExplorer

I don't know what kind of Ram you own..but my 2010 had had only one recall so far for a tie rod end inspection. Nothing was replaced...Are you sure you know what you're talking about?
so basically there are so many RAM recalls no one can keep track of them all.

B.O. - mhsmithExplorerThe Rams are not the only ones I am seeing at the shop. A couple years ago it was not uncommon for us to see Dakota's, Liberty's, Durango's and Nitro's with less than 25,000 miles with one or both outer tie rod ends with an extreme amount of wear or looseness in the sockets. Some went back to dealer for warranty and others that were out due to age,we repaired. No difference if they were 2wd or 4wd.
- john_betExplorer IIKnew I got a 2wd for a reason other than not needing a 4x4.
- gmcsmokeExplorerso basically there are so many RAM recalls no one can keep track of them all.

Had mine inspected about 5 years ago and they told me mine was not affected. Wonder if I'll need to have it inspected again?
It's the same recall that's been posted now about ten times.
Don
I didn't think so Don, the recall was expanded by like half a million trucks which included our truck model years. I guess a moot point for you since you've already replaced yours :W I'm still OEM so kind of interested in the extension in MY.
Posted: 11/08/13 10:23pmYou were the first one to post on it. NotE the snip-it has all three recalls. BTW I called my dealer and he said if I replaced them Chrysler will reimburse me for the cost of the tie-rods and labor! So PAY UP SUCKER! :B
The company has since updated the instructions and the parts involved.
The first case covers 842,400 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks from 2003 through 2008. Chrysler says 116,000 were repaired with tie-rods in the steering system that could be out of alignment.
The other two involve trucks with tie-rod assemblies that were replaced in previous recalls. They cover 294,000 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks from the 2008 through 2012 model years, and 2008 Ram 1500 four-by-four mega cabs. Also included are 43,000 Ram 4500 and 5500 four-by-four chassis cabs from 2008 through 2012.
