Grand Design is a well-made TT!
Find a good tow vehicle spreadsheet that calculates safe tow/pulling capacities. It's way more than just what can be pulled in forward motion (tow rating). More about what can be "handled" safely. Sherline has one.
Our trailer is almost identical to yours (yours is 600lbs dry heavier and 3 feet longer). Both have ~7,500 GVWR. We've weighed everything; truck by itself, with rig fully loaded (6,00lbs), etc. and we're well under our capacities.
Many opinions but think it may be a bit long. Have seen this formula for length: Rule of thumb (20’ for 110” wheelbase + 1’ for each additional 4” of wheelbase) Adopted from a veteran RVer on this forum. With this formula, my 1500 is right at the safe limit. (27.9')
For what it's worth.
