Let's maintain focus here folks. I'm trying to determine if a half ton will meet my needs and do the job. I mention Ford only because they seem to have cab styles powertrain/payload configurations that will fill the bill. I know 1500 Rams (like Toyota Tundra) seem payload challenged in crew cab configurations. But I will also acknowledge my ownership experience with my Ram 3500 has been less than satisfying with some of the stuff I've had to repair/replace. The meat and potatoes (engine/tranny/rear axle) have been fine. We now return to our regularly scheduled programming............. F150 crew cab people towing 30' TT's (you know who you are!) please chime in with your experience.
