tommy, it sounds like your storing on the base premise is off. Any of us that have built platforms or use saw horses for off truck storage do so as our primary form of support. Jacks get used to increase stability in wind and help support a little weight. The other, "don't store on the base" issue is when people don't span the entire width of the base. Structural members run on the sides and a support that doesn't fully span the bottom can punch through the bottom of your camper.
