Beside different points of views, consider huge differences on camper designs.
1200lb sitting on base can be taken by moderate wind.
The 4000 lb camper sitting on jacks with 300lb of water in it can pull screws from the floor.
It is the reader responsibility to evaluate those things to his particular situation.
My camper has rear fenders, so they hit the ground with floor about 1 foot above. On long term set of pallets would be probably the best way to keep it, but as I mentioned, 4x6 supporting beam on front where the tank is- does the job for me.
